Things are starting to happen
An update on my music news. My friend Cole Hegwood and I got a chance to work on some music this past weekend. It was the first time that I heard the music that I have been working on through a P.A. I think it sounded great! Obviously there is a lot more work that needs to be done, but the vibe was exciting and the music had an energy behind it. I really can't wait to share it with everyone. Since the last post my son was born! He is truly amazing. He looks just like me, its almost weird to look down while i'm holding him and see myself. I couldn't be more proud of him. My little family is such a blessing. I would be completely lost and alone and miserable with out them. Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I am still new to the "blogging" world. I will get better and more articulate in future post. Thanks.

Creation
I have been really feeling a pull to actually create and make music of my own lately. In the profession I am in, I don't get to really have much of a finger print on the music Im playing. Of course I manage and produce the BASS part, but its different when you write a song and you feel it come out through words and melody. The problem is that I don't have much experience in this field. Its just not something I have put tons of time into. I have friends that write songs during commercial breaks while watching TV. It just seems to flow effortlessly out of them. As a producer and session player, the musical ideas never stop. Its part of my job to stay "fresh" with music, style, and genre. But the problem comes when its time to write lyrics. Its a learning process to take a feeling, emotion, or experience and put it in melody and worded in a way that people can attach their own lives to it.
So my education will continue this next year as I embark on writing my first record. I have to say this, and write it so everyone can see so I will be held accountable. By this time next year I will have a record under my belt. Even if it never leaves my studio, I need to do this. The feeling of creating and hearing something that is completely me is too great to just keep ignoring. So look for and ask me about "my project." I am really excited to get it out there. Thanks.

Some Professional Information
Being raised on the road in family of gifted musicians, there was no other option than to love music, and love playing it even more. As a child I would crawl up the subs, because I loved the way 50hrtz felt, and from there, a bassist was created.
I have had the opportunity to study under several artists, including, but not limited to, Marvin McQuitty, Aaron Lindsey, Mark Carouthers, and Jacob Lowry.
I am currently touring with award winning artists Phillips, Craig and Dean as their bassist, Aaron Wagner as his bassist and MD. In the past I have played with Jeff Deyo (formerly of Sonic Flood), Inhabited, Buckley, Kenny Thomas, Hector Soto, Stephen McCarley, several cover bands in the dallas area, and have played several sessions for local recording artists.
My recorded work can be heard on LOVE by Inhabited, Where Is Your Soul by Quimi, Take Me Home by Brandon Jenkins, first album by Jason Sartain,Theme of Our Praise by Mark and Lori Carouthers.
I also do producing work. Some of the artists I have worked with are Brandon Jenkins, Anita Frenzel, Buddy Roy, Jason Meekins, Matt Brue, Jay Paul, Mary Moscoso, Jenny Moscoso, and Chelsea Carouthers.
